Why I chose men's health
During my residency, I kept seeing the same pattern: men arrived late, with a complaint they had carried for years, and almost always after asking everyone else before asking a doctor. The pharmacy, the internet, a friend, a supplement. The consultation was the last stop, not the first.
The problem isn't a lack of information. It's that most of the information out there is poor. An entire market has been built on quick promises about testosterone, performance and appearance, and it fills the space that should belong to sound medical advice.
That is why I chose to focus on sexual medicine, hormones and male fertility. It's a field where the right diagnosis changes a patient's life, and where much of what he heard before walking into my office was wrong.
Training
I earned my medical degree from the University of Passo Fundo in 2019. I trained in general surgery at Hospital São Vicente de Paulo, in Passo Fundo (Rio Grande do Sul), and completed my urology residency at Hospital São Lucas da PUC-RS, in Porto Alegre.
I then completed a fellowship in Sexual Medicine and Infertility at Hospital das Clínicas, University of São Paulo Medical School (HC-FMUSP), where I am currently a master's candidate in Urology. In 2024, I completed an observership in Sexual Medicine and Infertility at Johns Hopkins Hospital, in the United States. In 2026, I took part in penile prosthesis surgery training in Charlotte, also in the United States.
My expertise includes urological microsurgery, such as varicocele repair, vasectomy reversal, other complex reconstructive procedures and sperm retrieval techniques, as well as minimally invasive endoscopic techniques.
I am a member of the Brazilian Society of Urology (Sociedade Brasileira de Urologia, SBU) and the International Society for Sexual Medicine (ISSM).
Research
Part of my time is dedicated to clinical research. I have published articles in Brazilian and international journals on penile prosthesis, varicocele and hypogonadism, male infertility, men's health and aging, erectile dysfunction and functional recovery after prostate surgery.
Research changes the way you practice medicine. When you follow the literature on a procedure closely, you know not only the average result but also the variation, the factors that worsen the prognosis and the cases where the evidence is not yet sufficient. That is why, in the consultation, you will also hear what a treatment may not solve.
The full list of articles is on the Scientific publications page.
How I work
In the consultation, I explain what is actually going on and why. I order tests selectively, not by volume. I recommend surgery only when there is a real indication and, when there is, only after a full conversation about risks, limitations and alternatives.
I see patients from all over Brazil. See how telemedicine works.
