How it works
- 1. Booking
- You message the practice on WhatsApp and briefly explain why you would like to be seen. You then receive your appointment time, the link for the video call and instructions on how to prepare.
- 2. Video consultation
- Time set aside to listen to your history and symptoms, review any tests you have already had and explain the possible diagnoses without rushing. If you have test results, send them on WhatsApp beforehand so they can be reviewed during the consultation.
- 3. A plan by the end
- You receive written guidance, test orders when needed and clear next steps. If your case calls for an in-person examination or a procedure, you leave the consultation knowing why, and with the appropriate referral.
What online consultations work well for
- A first assessment of sexual, hormonal or fertility concerns
- Interpreting tests you have already had: semen analysis, testosterone, PSA
- Follow-up of testosterone replacement therapy, which requires regular reviews
- A second opinion on a diagnosis or a recommendation for surgery you have already received
- Pre-operative guidance and post-operative follow-up
What has to be done in person
Physical examination, procedures and surgery
Some diagnoses depend on a hands-on examination or on a test done in the office. In those cases, the video consultation is used to work out what needs to be investigated and to refer you to the right place. It does not replace the in-person step.
Frequently asked questions
Is a video consultation as valid as an in-person one?
Yes. Telemedicine is regulated in Brazil, and a video consultation is medically valid, including for issuing digitally signed medical documents. The difference lies in what can be assessed remotely, not in the validity of the consultation.
How long does the consultation last?
The first consultation is the longest, because it covers your whole history. Follow-up visits are usually shorter. It takes as long as your case needs; consultations are not run against the clock.
Can I have a consultation from any city?
Yes, from any city in Brazil. If you need an in-person assessment or surgery, this will be discussed during the consultation.
Do I need to send my test results beforehand?
If you have recent test results, send them on WhatsApp before your appointment. That way they can be reviewed carefully, and the consultation can be spent discussing your case. If you don't have any, that's fine: tests are ordered during the consultation.
